ST MICHAEL & ALL ANGELS CHURCH, OXNEAD

Few churches, even here in church-rich East Anglia, can claim such antiquity, but a church was recorded here in Edward the Confessor’s time (1042 to 1066) and the Nave walls are the very same that sheltered worshippers in those far off days.  Even the font dates back to before the 14th Century and the church has a very rich history linked to the nearby hall.  One can only imagine the various people that have come here to worship and pray as well as to be married and baptised.

SERVICES:

A 6.30pm service of Evensong (BCP) takes place on the 1st Sunday of the summer months (May to October)

The church is also a regular venue for wedding services throughout the year working closely with the neighbouring Oxnead Hall.
